I'm Salyse Crowley.
If you're anything like me and you've always put your work before your freedom and your FINALLY awoken to the fact that its time to finally look at away to earn a little bit of extra cash but you just don't know where to start?
Then let me tell you how I did it.
Burnt out as a mama to three children, working hard as a teacher in my day job I never felt financially secured when needed to take days off for the kids. When it was time to enjoy the four week summer holidays, I never had enough money to travel and wondered if the following year would be any different, it never was.
I started to really acknowledge that the cost of living was on the rise and working my career job was never enough to actually live, and thats when I looked at creating an income online.
Great timing because I had just started Maternity leave with my youngest and thought I had to use this time to create a "side hustle" and hopefully push this leave out for a year instead of returning back when the Maternity leave payments ended.
I did some researching, and fact checked everything online just to ensure I wasn't setting myself up to fail or better yet, get scammed.
Then I found it. The business vehicle that was going to help me start up earning some extra money.
I did my study and research on the company, the business structure and how to actually use social media platforms to better engage my target audience and the best thing about doing all of this was that there was a community of support that helped me from the start!
With that being said, I pushed my maternity leave out for 18 months, retired my husband from his building job to help me run the household and in my first year made a 6 figure income. We've also been on multiple family holidays since then.
Now I run a large team within our community to take their freedom back financially by supporting them through mentorships, 1:1 coaching, open Q&As and so much more!
If I hadn't taken the step to pursue this, life would still look pretty much the same as before, and no one likes living in the past.
Plus doing this whole business online has helped free up soo much of my time to be present with my Whanau.
